Student Awards Program
WHAT IS THE STUDENTS AWARDS PROGRAM?
It provides monetary assistance to students in their graduating year. It is believed to be unique to Ontario because it is based on individual subject marks. This program was developed and initiated in 2004 by the BCI&VS Alumni Foundation which continues to support and administer the fund with assistance from BCI Staff.
HOW DO STUDENTS QUALIFY?
This program is available to all full-time students in their graduating year and is based on the best six subjects taken in their graduating year. Students must be registered in six senior courses to be eligible for the award(s).
Note: “Graduating year” is the year in which the requirements of the OSSD have been met and a student is eligible to graduate.

Students who achieve an average of 90% or better in their best six senior subjects taken in their graduating year will receive a monetary award of $500 and a certificate.

Students who achieve an average of 85.0% - 89.9% in their best six senior subjects taken in their graduating year will receive a monetary award of $250 and a certificate.

Students who achieve an average of 80.0% - 84.9% in their best six senior subjects taken in their graduating year will receive a monetary award of $150 and a certificate.

To be eligible for the BCI&VS Alumni Award please complete the application at the BCI Guidance Office and return by June 30, 2014
Since its inception in 2004 the Foundation’s Endowment Fund has provided financial assistance to over 550 BCI&VS graduating students.
